This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Flat Ventures, LLC, d/b/a ShelfMint (“ShelfMint”, “we” or “us”) on www.ShelfMint.com (the “Website”) and is designed to ensure that visitors to the Website understand how and why we collect and use information provided by Website visitors.
Information Collection and Use
Use by ShelfMint
The Website allows you to request information from us about the ShelfMint system and may in the future provide other functionality such as enabling the submission of employment applications. The ShelfMint system (“System”) is unified platform comprised of an online exchange for slots in retail locations for slotting consumer products, an order entry system for consumer products and an integrated communications and notification portal. The System is more fully described in the Website and the Master Subscription Agreement (“MSA”). The MSA sets forth the terms under which a user, both persons that own or control retail locations and suppliers of consumer products, can register and use the System (a “User”).
To support these activities, we may ask you for your contact information including the company for which you work and may use this information to contact you about becoming a registered System User. If you become a System User, our collection of use of your information will be governed by the MSA.
We may also use information you submit to make the Website easier for you to use and to inform you of other products and services we may offer, product updates, and other related information about us. The Website does not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about you related to your online activities when you use the Website.
Use by Third Parties
We do not share personally identifiable information you provide to us on the Website with third parties.
We may provide third parties with aggregated information, such as the number of visitors to the Website and to develop ways to improve our Website’s functionality and accessibility. Aggregated data is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
We may use contractors and other service providers to help us deliver information and/or services accessed through the Website and to deliver content and fulfill requests made on the Website. However, in these instances, the information you provide remains our property and the third parties will not use this information for any other purpose.
In addition, we reserve the right to disclose the information you provide as required by law and when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on our website.
The Website may also contain links to other Websites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage you, when you leave this Website, to read the privacy statements of these other sites.
We use various technologies to help us understand which parts of our Website are visited most often and understand traffic patterns on pages. Some of these are described below.
Sensors: To determine your ability to receive HTML-based e-mail messages, we may include a coded sensor in its HTML-based e-mail messages. The sensor activates when the e-mail message is opened and flags the e-mail address of the recipient as one that is capable of receiving HTML-based e-mail messages. This capability helps us to send the e-mail in a format you can read, which allows us to track the aggregate number of e-mails read and to measure, in aggregate, if any of the links in the e-mail were accessed. No other information is collected or used. If the recipient cannot receive HTML e-mails, the recipient will not receive a functioning sensor.
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Website, track users’ activities and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in improving the Website and its applications and services.
Do Not Track Signals: Recent amendments to the California Shine the Light law require that we inform you that we do not honor “do-not-track” request settings on your browser.
We may offer you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving promotional e-mails, calls or mail from us about our products and services. For e-mails, individuals may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism within the e-mail. This mechanism does not allow a user to opt out of receiving transactional e-mails, such as a registration confirmation, product updates and responses to direct requests.
To opt out of calls or direct mail, individuals may fill out the form on the registration page. At the time information is collected, other choices you have about how the information may be used will be explained.
Access and Correction
We currently do not provide a mechanism for visitors to access and correct any information provided on this Website.
Other Important Information
Minors: We do not provide products or services to children, and all individuals who register online to receive information or to be contacted by us should be 18 or older.
Security: We take security seriously. We take reasonable precautions to keep our Website and the Systems secure and to prevent personal data from being made available to any unauthorized person or business.
